Our Story

I am the amazingly blessed wife of  Sid and we have been married for 24 years. We have NINE incredible kids with NINE unique personalities. 7 born from my womb, 2 born in my heart. ALL of them are greatly loved by me & God. Daughter to The Mighty King, Lover of justice, orphans and the unreached people of the world. This is a place for you to follow the interesting, crazy & maybe even insane things that God blesses our amazing family with everyday!!! Never a Dull Moment & I wouldn’t change a thing:)

…started 25 years ago as Sid & I met and began dating. 11 months later I married the love of my life. 8 months after that we moved to Nashville, TN where we would spend the next 13 years.

2 years after we were married Lacey was born, delivered by the nurse, making us parents for the first time:) Lacey was the first grandchild and we loved becoming a family of 3.

2 yrs & 10 months later Sydnie made her arrival just before Christmas and we were in love all over again.

2 yrs & 11 months later Baylie got us to the magical number of 3 GIRLS!

We were happy & we were done;)

2 yrs & 9 months later OUR FIRST BOY, Jonathan AKA Jojo arrived! Almost in the car, 15 minutes after we arrived at hospital. We knew then we wanted more boys:)

16 months later BOY #2 Tate, arrived via emergency c-section and Rocked my world. Tate spent a week in the NICU and quickly showed us his personality as he extubated himself, removed every wire, &  pulled his IV out himself. He was ready to hit the road!

20 months later Emerson was born. Our final baby girl. {eye roll}

We were happy & “I” WAS DONE!!!!!!!!!!

13 years and 6 babies later we packed up to move closer to family, and become Texan’s again!

2 yrs later, in the middle of nursing school Kenlie made her appearance, and got us to the crazy number of  7! The number of completion:)

And then… 3 yrs later God spoke adoption into our lives and we said YES! Charlie & Levi became Harper’s on September 15th, 2010 at the ages of 3 & 6, and arrived home in Texas Oct. 9th, 2010.

2010 was also the year that God sat us next to Sid’s daughter Hayley in church for the first time and we would have the privilege of meeting and falling in love with an amazing young lady. Such a blessing to be a part of her life.

Currently we live in Arua, Uganda and are on staff with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) where we minister to the people of Northern Uganda & South Sudan + we are in the process of adopting 2 sweet little Ugandans. Our life is amazing, messy, crazy, joy-filled &  full of the love of Christ. We have been blessed by saying YES to God and it has changed our lives. Our family will never be the same!
