Renew Uganda 2017 ~ Murchison Falls National Park
Greetings from Uganda!
May has arrived!! So many wonderful things have happened over the past couple of months. Here’s a quick recap…We began the month of March with the graduation of 24 YWAM DTS. (Discipleship Training Students) It was such a fun celebration of all they had accomplished during their 6 months of training + exciting to send them back to their home countries to share the good news. {Kenya, Congo, Burundi, Uganda} We also celebrated the graduation of our 3rd child! Baylie Grace Harper officially graduated!!! {cue tears} It was so fun to celebrate her with our local community of friends. We are so proud of her and excited for her next adventure. You can CLICK HERE to read about where God is taking her next.
Our home church in Texas organized and brought a team of women to host a weekend retreat for missionary women in Northern Uganda + several men & women to host a separate VBS for the missionary children. #renewuganda was such a blessing and we are so thankful to Stonegate Fellowship for the love and encouragement this team brought to us.
Other Highlights:
- Seeing familiar faces from home
- Emmy (age 11) sharing her testimony in front of a group of adults
- hosting YWAM teams in our home
- getting the final document for our adoption
- moving to a new home
- easter sunrise service on Arua Hill
- leading worship on YWAM base more
- hearing about Lacey & Sydnie’s life in Texas
Sid will be heading into South Sudan with a Sudanese friend this month. They will fly in and out of the country. Please be praying for them as they travel to encourage, pray over and seek out possibilities of running a DTS in this area of South Sudan. Please pray for safety and that God would direct their steps.
Also, please join us in praying for our Ugandan adoption of two little ones. We will sit before the Ministry of Gender panel on May 31st. This is who will give the final APPROVAL for us to foster/adopt. Once we have the yes, we will visit the children and they will COME HOME!
